Why would it be too early? The APU or Ground Power should be switched on right after the aircraft's battery in order to prevent it from going flat.

Dude i got the PMDG 737 yesterday and i don't understand one s*** in the cockpit...lol.I have to start reading that looooooooooooooong manual....you're very lucky to know how to operate this aircraft especially that "FMC" Good video i learned a thing or two ;)

u rushed it to fast ur ment to wait 2 mins before switching on the hydraulics to allow pressure to build up also when u have started the APU wait the same time before using the packs for the same reason otherwise u will get a hot start or no start at all on the engines trust

Sorry to say that but this procedure is absolutely unrealistic. But you are able to start the PMDG with this method shown. Just to mention one thing: the APU needs one fuel pump to be set ON - and before starting, you are required to do the fire protection checks. And so on...

Also, you have to isolate the pneumatic system before setting the elec hyd pumps ON... set pitot heat on during the after start procedure... lot of things...

i did everything in the video but my plane always stalls out Im using pmdg 737-700. I have fuel pumps on and hydralic are on . I might be getting a low oil pressure somewhere. Any advice?

The reason why the hydraulic pumps electric/gen A and B must be switched off during GPU or APU is due to the fact that the flaps can be repositioned without proper ground clearance. ie if the flaps had been positioned accidently without sufficient hydraulic power, during AC power up when the hydraulic pressure is restored the flaps will move into position without clearance, dangerous. I own the wilco 737 PIC, much better FMC than the PMDG and simulates the real plane with the added challenge.
