I find there's a double standard when it comes to classifying people of mixed race. They're Black if they've done something wrong, and for purposes of discrimination; otherwise, they're mixed.

i first watched this film during my United States History in Film class, and it truly gave me a good opinion on the 2008 election. It cleared up the pasts of both candidates and gave me a sense of who i thought was the better man.

Yes, the unfortunate truth about Washington politics is that to get things done you have to make concessions to the other party or nothing will ever pass congress. So Senators end up voting for things that they don't fully support so that someone else will vote for something that they DO support. You end up with a history that looks like you are always changing your mind and "flip flopping" on issues. In reality you decided that the benefits of your bill outweighed the costs of the other one.

Voting statistics are taken from the eligible voting population, so the percentages you read or see are usually out of US citizens who are 18+ and not incarcerated or whatever, so not sure what you are refering to? It's like unemployment stats, they only count the eligible participants in the workforce, not the whole population.
